Who Is Journey to Belonging For?
You don’t have to be an immigrant to care about immigration.
Journey to Belonging: Empathy and Understanding for Immigrants is not a training for immigrants—it's for everyday people who want to better understand immigration and the experiences of those who come to the United States seeking safety, opportunity, and a new beginning.
This workshop is designed for community members, educators, service providers, faith leaders, students, and anyone who wants to engage with immigration in a more informed and compassionate way.

Do you feel confident discussing immigration?
Immigration is a complex and often emotional topic. When these conversations come up—at work, at school, around the dinner table—do you feel ready to respond with empathy and facts instead of fear or assumptions?
Consider:
-
Do you know the difference between a refugee, an asylee, a migrant, and an immigrant?
-
Are you familiar with the legal pathways available for people coming to the U.S.?
-
Do you understand the challenges newcomers face in your own community?
If these questions give you pause, Journey to Belonging is for you.

Take meaningful steps towards...
-
A deeper understanding of the immigrant experience
-
Tools to speak about immigration with accuracy and compassion
-
New insights into the diverse perspectives within your own community
This workshop creates an open space for learning and connection. It’s not about politics—it’s about people. All are welcome.
